[Mar-7-2004]: There's something about a dunk contest...I think it amazes me because I know how hard it is to do. These guys....well....

[Mar-7-2004]: So I'm not sure exactly how these guys got the gear, but it's weird watching a Russian tank get blowed up real good.

[Mar-7-2004]: Ever wonder what The Exorcist would be like in 30 seconds? And renacted by Bunnies? Me too.

[Mar-7-2004]: I'm sure you've all seen the real life Simpson's House.

[Mar-7-2004]: Cool use of QuickTimeVR - they took shots of the Brittany Coast, and added sound and moving images. Amazing!

[Mar-6-2004]: Someone convinced David Copperfield that making a flash site was a good idea. WRONG! Ramalamadingdong!

[Mar-5-2004]: Bought the boy marble run, but this will be for me!

[Mar-4-2004]: I am here to keep you all in touch with stupid geek things, I guess. This is a USB drive - the eyes flash when it's accessed.....much like my wife's when I come home late....

[Mar-4-2004]: Hehe - this site takes Far Side comics and turns them into reality via Photoshop prowess.

[Mar-3-2004]: Cory posted this on bOINGbOING. A guy has taken stereoscopic videos of Disney rides - from start to finish. You ned 3D glasses to see 'em, but it's a pretty cool idea and very weird (I have an old pair - don't ask).

[Mar-3-2004]: Good Lord - there's a Douglas Adams media archive online, ie every audio file. Gotta grab these & fire up the iPod.

[Mar-3-2004]: I Like Frank is a cool sounding cellie/web game.

[Mar-3-2004]: Variety has started a gaming column.

[Mar-3-2004]: Apple is opening 2 stores in Toronto.

[Mar-3-2004]: What is upstairs at Graceland, dammit?

[Mar-3-2004]: Teen Girl Squad #5!

March 2, 2004: There was a little toolshed... - anyone old enough to remember this?

March 1, 2004 : I need to get me one o' these:

Feb 29, 2004 : Don't tell Scotty, 'cause Scotty doesn't know.

Feb 28, 2004 : UT2004 Beatdown. I wish I had time, and a nice fast compy.

Feb 28, 2004 ; I've been using the Slimp3 server to broadcast my iTunes collections, but Nicecast seems to be another elegant solution. I like the Slimp because it shows up in the OSX System Preferences, and it's FREE. Plus, people can log in via a web browser & slect the playlist they want to hear. Haven't given Nicecast a good run yet but I will. WHEN I HAVE TIME TO DO THINGS AGAIN. Like shower. Ew.

Feb 28, 2004 : Jer, when is your birthday?

Feb 28, 2004 : More about RSS from Forbes.

Feb 27, 2004 : Pary showed me Xombified, which is an excellent comic and a cool design for a site.

Feb 27, 2004 : You guys know how easily I get bored. Sometimes dangerously so. I hope there are no matches in the house.

Feb 25, 2004 : Trevor, as we all know, has seen it all. But I bet he's never seen a cod swallow a can.

Feb 25, 2004 : Yeah, baby.....reminds me of the Strongbad web design email...you know, the flaming, rotating 3D guitar! I found a whole site, though the animation could be cheesier.

Feb 25, 2004 : hilarious sound board Michael Jackson prank call.

Feb 25, 2004 : The Tragedy of Mario Bros. Part 1.
Part II.
Part III.

Feb 25, 2004 : Someone make me a vodka espresso please.
([JeremyRodgers] : Then follow that up with a Nicotini thank you.)

Feb 24, 2004 : Garry Trudeau is offering 10 grand to someone who can confirm Bush's term of service. Haha!

Feb 24, 2004 : Threat Alert Jesus.

Feb 24, 2004 : I know you guys don't care about this much, but I was telling my friends at CBC about a baby's first poo. It's called meconium, and is essentially about 5 months worth of blood that has been sitting in the digestive system, waiting to get out. I swear, if I could package it, I would have a killer driveway sealant. The stuff is impossible to get off - maybe with some sandpaper...

Feb 23, 2004 : What a great idea - this site has pictures of entrances to hell around the UK. They should put the parking place near Piccadilly Circus.

Feb 23, 2004 : Too easy. Resist.....urge....put silly punchline.....away.

Feb 23, 2004 : If I had a mini-bar, I might think of putting in a bathroom in the basement. And if said bathroom existed and I were single and rich beyond my wildest dreams, I may even put in a urinal with lips. No, I'm pretty sure not. But it's good to dream.

Feb 23, 2004 : I have too much time on me hands. this is a nice gun training sim - check the blur fx when changing levels.

Feb 23, 2004 : BBC did a cool bunch of tests - this one tests your senses.

Feb 23, 2004 : So I guess I'm a blog whore - it takes forever for me to edit this page now. I wonder if I need to throw a bunch into an archive.

Anyway, here's today's fun link. A site that makes animals out of a map of the London Underground. Neat.

Feb 23, 2004 : We've decided to giver her a middle name. Paige Keely McCrea Brunt. We're all home now, and it's nice. She did this weird thing called a "cluster feed", that they never tell you about. 20 hours into life, they feed for like 7 hours straight. Last time, Heather was at home and got so freaked by that.

Feb 23, 2004 : Something for you, Michelle. National Lampoon's How to Write Good. Classic. Here's an example of making your reader feel like an idiot:

"One crisp October morning, while taking my usual stroll down the Kurfurstenstrasse, I spied my old friend Casimir Malevitch, the renowned Suprematist painter, sitting on a bench. Noting that he had a banana in his ear, I said to him, "Excuse me, Casimir, but I believe you have a banana in your ear."
"What?" he asked.
Moving closer and speaking quite distinctly, I repeated my previous observation, saying, "I said, 'You have a banana in your ear!' "
"What's that you say?" came the reply.
By now I was a trifle piqued at this awkward situation and, seeking to make myself plain, once and for all, I fairly screamed, "I SAID THAT YOU HAVE A BANANA IN YOUR EAR, YOU DOLT!!!"

Feb 22, 2004 : I added a few pictures to this one.

Feb 22, 2004 : Here ya go!

Feb 21, 2004 : 8:45 PM : Baby Brunt V2.0 enters the world! Paige Brunt, 10.8 lbs, came out in a hurry. We had a little scare - apparently "breathing" was not something she was all that interested in doing. But once we got her going, all was well. I'll post a link to some photos asap. And the Leafs beat the Hab-nots!

Feb 21, 2004 : 4:57 : Heather says the hospital won't have a wireless node. Guess I'll be offline. This is no way to start a new life.

Feb 21, 2004 : 4:55 : Contractions 5 min apart. At 4 we start driving. Oops - the last one WAS 4 minutes. Damn, I have an analog watch. I told you I wasn't a real geek.

Feb 21, 2004 : 4:15 - haven't left for the hospital yet. Heather's Mom is coming to look after Connor. He, of course, is watching PeeWee's Playhouse on video. Oblivious, as he should be. I keep thinking I'm forgetting something, like timing contractions. Her water has not broken - will probably happen in our newly leased car. That's ok, when I had my new Eagle Talon in 1991 she threw up in it within a few weeks of it being new.

Feb 21, 2004 : 3:45 PM : Looks like we're heading to the hospital. As usual, Heather is pretty calm about these contractions, but they are damn close together.....and we are DAMN far from the hospital. And I'm blogging, hehe. Cross your collective fingers - I will update later.
