[Aug-16-2004]: Dear Alanis: THIS is irony.

[Aug-16-2004]: Beijing, 2008.

[Aug-13-2004]: I dunno....I kind of prefer freebagging, myself.

[Aug-13-2004]: Hey, this makes sense: Apple filed for a patent on what appears to be a probablt control unit for all the little gadgets they've been making.

[Aug-13-2004]: Star Wars kid: Burly Brawl.

[Aug-12-2004]: I never understood the whole backpack thing - especially seeing little tiny preschoolers with these monster Tigger backpacks lugging their whole wheat pitas to daycare.

[Aug-12-2004]: There are days when work feels like this. Today is NOT one of them! Woo woo!

[Aug-12-2004]: Attn: open-area cubicle workers.....a solution awaits...

[Aug-11-2004]: Gonna get this for my secret unabomber cabin in the woods. One day. Well, the one with a big-ass fat pipe and satellite dish.

[Aug-11-2004]: Well who doesn't like bare naked ladies?

[Aug-10-2004]: Wow - I actually had this song from the book.

[Aug-10-2004]: If you're travelling in the US, it's a good idea to check the terrorist alert map.

[Aug-9-2004]: Doom III - it's out, and being tastefully modded already. Love it - can't wait to give it a spin.

[Aug-9-2004]: Had another migraine this weekend. I'm shooting for an annual record this year I think.

[Aug-9-2004]: A tshirt for ppl like jer.

[Aug-8-2004]: When video games meet real life.

[Aug-7-2004]: And here is a recent picture of Paige, with a couple of her cousins. Paige is on the left. The happy one!

[Aug-7-2004]: Ever wonder what is is like to drive a subway? My son no longer has to worry - my brother and his wife took Connor on a trip to Centre Island, and the cool TTC guy let him drive the train. Even brought it into a station all on his own. Union work my heinie.

[Aug-6-2004]: Linux is now the #2 desktop OS, surpassing MacOS.]]

[Aug-6-2004]: Sometimes, even professionals need a little help.

[Aug-6-2004]: Radiohead just always makes me go "wow". Creep. Worth the download.

[Aug-6-2004]: Burninated!
JR And with that I think we can safely state 8-bit revival has jumped the shark. {flame-suit ON}
TedBrunt: Amen. All this work into high end video cards, and we're dicking in 8-bit. The kids have no idea.

[Aug-4-2004]: Gates wants to buy Nintendo. He can have it for a few bananas and a mushroom.

[Aug-4-2004]: So, after getting my powerbook taken, I am thinking this might be a good idea...

[Aug-1-2004]: Our very own Pary Bell and his wife, Carol, are busy kicking ultimate ass at The World Championships in Helsinki. GOOOOOOO PARY!

[Jul-31-2004]: Everyone seen the new Batman?

[Jul-31-2004]: Happy birthday to my big sister...

[Jul-31-2004]: Joey DeVilla put up a really funny blog about breaking up via email and took it one step further - PowerPoint. Which some of you know how much I loathe with the intensity of 200 collapsing stars....

[Jul-30-2004]: We just need cool commercials like this in Canada.

[Jul-30-2004]: Look, someone is making a magazine just for me!
Joanne: I just KNOW that my nephew would go nuts over this kind of magazine. Sounds pretty cool, I have to admit. Hmmm....I think I may just have to sign up for their e-newsletter.

[Jul-30-2004]: Never, repeat NEVER fall for the triple dog dare.

[Jul-29-2004]: So the last piece of crap I had to go through to get my new powerbook up & going was to transfer all my music from my iPod to my new iTunes. Piracy! Evil! Filth! Thankfully, I scored a little app called "ipod.itunes" that does the trick very quickly. Then I can slam the iPod, reformat it, and star fresh.

I also now have an iPod Freq, which seems to be the best FM transmitter for iPod that I could find. And $$$ naturally.

And I finally have one giant credit card bill thanks to needledick from Collingwood.

[Jul-29-2004]: Well, I think this will lead to more accidents than fun, but you never know - the Alpine iPod interface.

[Jul-27-2004]: Turn you iPod into a universal remote. Really. Don't ask why - it's just FUCKIN COOL.

[Jul-25-2004]: Well, so much for the Irish curse.
Joanne: DVD sales will be going through the roof, me thinks.

[Jul-25-2004]: Great. Someone stole my laptop from my car on Thursday night. Now I have to wander around changing everything. They have all my email addresses. My old mail. My files. Fuckers.
Joanne: Wow...that sucks, Ted. Sorry to hear it.
JR: Rest assured that there is a special place reserved for fuckers like that. It is traditionally called "hell" but is more aptly termed: "the land of unquenchable itches" I feel bad for you. May the culprit be banished to the universe where the number one billboard song is eternally playing.
tb: ...from 1976. Starland Vocal Band. Aaaaaaaaafternoon deliiiiiiiight.

[Jul-22-2004]: Wow. Peter Bowers passed away yesterday. He was the original Godfather of the Online Group - protected us and gave us our initial funding and held off the jerks that tried to kill it. The Online Group eventually became things like tvokids.com, tvo.org, TVO's email system, TVO Online.....etc. Many people have worked on the team, and many continue the initial work in all sorts of other places. Amazing what one person can be responsible for protecting. Bye Peter - you are a real role model.
Jo: I second those sentiments, Ted. He had the kindest heart and I will miss him a lot. May he rest in peace.

[Jul-22-2004]: Well you knew this was coming. Apparently people are starting to really look into product placements in games. Especially the online MM ones, as they are "live" and are expected to out draw console games in terms of revenue in 10 years.

[Jul-21-2004]: Dance, Voldo, Dance!

[Jul-20-2004]: iPod speakers made from Altoids tins.

[Jul-20-2004]: Go on....take a one minute vacation...

[Jul-19-2004]: Funny Microsoft articles. Well, *I* laughed.

[Jul-19-2004]: Wow - saw this video looper and thought it was extremely cool. Wonder if this is Craig, from Looplabs?

[Jul-19-2004]: PHP 5.0 ready for abuse...

[Jul-19-2004]: How cool is this? A circular printer.

[Jul-19-2004]: The Sad Song is quite a neat little experiment with 15 second clips.

[Jul-19-2004]: More proof that the Excel auto-correct is just a massive pain in the ass. Now it's screwing up genetic research.

[Jul-19-2004]: Here's a cool graph showing the growth of MMOG subscriptions. I'm sure the market is going to level off, but there is still significant room for growth, especially as a middle class emerges in India & China. No World of Warcraft yet, and I think that one is going to go nuts.

[Jul-16-2004]: I think the Iraq people have really come up with an effective negotiating tool. Everybody is trying it now.

[Jul-16-2004]: They found Bobby Fischer!

[Jul-16-2004]: A lesson for you all - don't steal images from other eBay users.

[Jul-14-2004]:
Joanne: Kew_UL! He has the exact same computer as me! Wellwhaddyaknow. His taste ain't half bad! ;-)

[Jul-14-2004]: The Incredible Hulk even has a blog. Wicked idea.

[Jul-14-2004]: So I may actually buy my first console next May.

[Jul-13-2004]: Atari!

[Jul-12-2004]: Lovely build a story site.

[Jul-11-2004]: l33t...

[Jul-9-2004]: The geek war that runs behind the scenes of the public internet is often fascinating. Here's a cool example of what one asshole can do to a very popular site, simply because he got locked out. In some ways, smart people are powerful, but we're all often victims of one eejit.

[Jul-9-2004]: Wanna see Tiger's new Dashboard widgets?

[Jul-9-2004]: I thought there was only one way to spell Viagra. Apparently I am wrong.

[Jul-9-2004]: Follow this. Cory Doctorow is a weird Disney fan. Loves the Haunted Mansion most. Thurl Ravenscroft is the guy who sings the music in the ride, and among other things, he's also the guy who sang "Mr. Grinch" and was the voice for Tony the Tiger. This site is loaded with info about Thurl, and when you hear him sing, you make freak at how much you recognize his voice from 1970's pop culture.
Joanne: I LOVED the Mansion ride -- it was so freaky, but SO cool! 'Course...the last time I was on it was in...like...1973!

[Jul-9-2004]: OK, I had this idea for video graves way back, but never, um, executed the idea. Crap.

[Jul-8-2004]: I shall make this for Paige's 12th birthday...
Joanne: Ted, you are a sick -- but cute -- puppy.

[Jul-8-2004]: Yikes. Liquid Generation v.2 is a little over the top...but I like the quizzes.

[Jul-7-2004]: Can u find the demo tape?
demo!

[Jul-7-2004]: You know, there are times when programmers just ask to be abused. Pizza Party command line may be one of them.

[Jul-7-2004]: OK, it may be tasteless, but it's worth it for the funny song. Camel toe song.
Joanne: Ok...so...like...I know I shouldn't really laugh at the above -- but I did! Vewy, vewy funny!!

[Jul-6-2004]: Loser is spelled with one "s".

[Jul-6-2004]: And what do you do to snails that have been eating your plants? You intern them in Snailhausen, then you execute them.

[Jul-6-2004]: So what happens when the police try to pull over an apparent stunt driver?

[Jul-5-2004]: Trying to figure out if this is true or not. Sad world when I see news like this on the net and question it!

[Jul-5-2004]: I haven't seen the latest Spiderman, but I like the Lego version.

[Jul-3-2004]: Who knew Toronto has a sense of humour?

[Jul-3-2004]: Yikes - I feel old. I actually laughed at one part of this. Topo Gigio next.

[Jul-3-2004]: Rock, paper, Saddam!

[Jul-1-2004]: Gots to look at a new mortgage....Senor Cardgage!
Mortgage

[Jul-1-2004]: Rent a Peasant. Will they complain if I send them in with pitchforks to defend my castle?

[Jul-1-2004]: You can't stop Debbie Downer! Except she keeps laughing. It's like an old Carol Burnett show.

[Jul-1-2004]: Check out Zladko Vladcik - the new cool.

[Jun-29-2004]: Redmond, start your photocopiers.

[Jun-28-2004]: I've been online too long - time for some exercise.

[Jun-28-2004]: Sometimes, if someone is parking in your spot, it might be an omen...

[Jun-28-2004]: Wow - some creative guy (friend of yours, Greg?) created 1000 faces.

[Jun-28-2004]: I have a sinus infection. What was that site about piercing your skull again...?
JR A quick google yielded this link but it looks as though a corkscrew would do in a pinch ;-)
Thanks Jeremy. All the corkscrews in our house have been blunted from overuse.
JR i am not alone, repeat, I AM NOT ALONE

[Jun-27-2004]: Check out the cool little adventure. Lovely design. Easy to figure out.

[Jun-26-2004]: Haha! Cory pointed out that the Hinterland Who's Who
entire GD library is online. Yikes - flashbacks!
JR I remember getting some audio from there for this . According to the license it is available free for educational use :-) That flute tune still features regularly in my dreams, usually just before the aliens attack.

[Jun-26-2004]: I always knew the clown was up to sumthin'...

[Jun-25-2004]: Some of you were barely born. I care not. The top 100 albums of the 1970's. I just know that #2 should be #1.

Bloody Brits. No Springsteen. No Doors. Morons.

[Jun-24-2004]: Please - I am Ugoff. BK came to me and asked me to design a pouch...
More viral wizardry by the guys who made the subservient chicken.

[Jun-24-2004]: And here I didn't even know there was a World Beatbox Community.

[Jun-23-2004]: Versusville is live. Go play it. PC Only.

[Jun-22-2004]: Wicked base jumping video - including the CN Tower?

[Jun-22-2004]: Like my hat?

[Jun-22-2004]: I am so immature...

[Jun-22-2004]: Check out the piPod!

[Jun-22-2004]: Things wot make you go hum.....Microsoft seeding the XBox 2 or Next to developers, but sending them a G5.

[Jun-21-2004]: You can fly, you can fly, you can.....uh oh.

[Jun-19-2004]: I should quit my job and be rich.

[Jun-19-2004]: Today is my son's 5th birthday. I spent it in a suburban hideaway with 10 5 & 6 year olds, hopped up on sugar and quarters. It ruled!

[Jun-19-2004]: ? mo Dhia! T? tua i mo cheann!

[Jun-18-2004]: Schedule a visit from The Stool Fairy!

[Jun-18-2004]: hehe.

Last week my friend and I were writing an essay about art in today's cut-throat corporate world. We were really touched by the subject, so we began explaining my friend C.J. about it, and she was like:

"Dude!.. Get out! I love today's cut-throat corporate world so much!"

But then when my friend and I got to the part about the art, C.J. quieted down and began picking her nose. But this morning, C.J.'s mother told me that the reason C.J. was so freaked out was because she used to write a lot about art. There are days when C.J. can be really stupid like that, but she should know better...

[Jun-18-2004]: Cory is in the jaws of the lion....so to speak. Imagine going to Redmond and lecturing Microsoft on why Digital Rights Management won't work.

[Jun-17-2004]: I feel so dirty looking at other peoples' web cams. Well, except this one.

[Jun-17-2004]: Beam me up Mr. Scott.

[Jun-16-2004]: Update on the iPod radio thang - now people are advertising their music on bumper stickers!

[Jun-16-2004]: Star Wars.....glorious Star Waaaaaaaaars....

[Jun-15-2004]: Pary, we should do this for our next game. Whatchya think?
JR After 3 red bulls I am READY!!!
pary: awesome! I bet there were some pretty wicked wipeouts in the competition (and a helicopter standing by for emergency evac...)

[Jun-15-2004]: How to turn your iTrip into pirate radio. I especially like the ability to pull up beside someone's car and jam their radio, and put your audio of choice on it.

[Jun-15-2004]: Hehe, remember that guy on PBS doing art?

[Jun-15-2004]: You'd think that The Beatles had reunited or something.

Jo: Oh my! Paige looks exactly like YOU, Ted!! She's a cutie!

[Jun-8-2004]: Retrocrush again, doing the 50 greatest song parts. They even have samples of all the good bits. Phil Collins is #1? Combat Rock & Should I Stay is clearly #1!!!! A lot of the others I'm there with. Rush #15 - that tour was a concert I went to in gr. 9. Doors The End.....yesssssss. Beasties. A little too much Queen for my taste. And where the hell is Blister in the Sun?

[Jun-7-2004]: Maybe we should lock down the wiki?
Joanne: If you're serious, maybe this question should be addressed in the grouphug section.

[Jun-7-2004]: Watch the first 5 minutes of ShrekII. I actually thought the first part was weak - it was very funny at the end.

[Jun-4-2004]: Anyone like riddles?

[Jun-4-2004]: Footy footy footy footy ENGLAND!

Joanne: Ummm...page not found for me. :-(
They took it offline.
Joanne: Apple to the rescue: go here

[Jun-3-2004]: Pretty interesting article at Seattle Weekly from a Microsoft insider who points out missed opportunities for Microsoft, and predicts doom. But then, people have been predicting the death of Apple for 20 years too.

[Jun-3-2004]: Pink dinosaur discovered!

[Jun-3-2004]: A lovely, and I think inspirational welcome to the internet. Please distribute to your relatives.

[May-31-2004]: Chemical Bros. cool video for Let Forever Be.

[May-31-2004]: One of my fave songs ever, it's a crappy flash version, but it's still worth heading to just to hear Tom Lehrer go through the elements. Apparently he did this for lots of classes over the years.

[May-30-2004]: There are days when I think I shouldn't be working in kids, as there are so many better people doing it.

[May-25-2004]: Play Osama Bin Lotto!

[May-25-2004]: Frauenfelder at The Feature writes a wicked article about VoIP over cell. Like 5 cents a minute to China...
Joanne: Great article, Ted. I just found out that if you use Yak's services , you can call China on your cell phone for just 5 cents/minute -- and it will work with any cell-phone carrier that you have. (Learn more in their "learn more" section).

[May-25-2004]: I'm thinking of setting up an offshore bank, a la Cryptonomicon...

[May-25-2004]: The order is worth lots of debate, but here are one guy's top 100 scariest scenes of all time. He put Deliverance in front of The Exorcist head spin scene, which I think shows how relative fear is. Heather doesn't even find the Exorcist scary. Maybe it was how I first saw it - alone, babysitting, stumbled upon it after remembering that the Catholic church banned people from going to see it in the 70's.
Joanne: I don't find the Exorcist is scary either, Ted. By the time I actually saw the movie, I had seen too many satires done on it.

[May-21-2004]: To Ted, from Allan: ...'cause he knows you'd like this .

[May-21-2004]: Look closely:

Joanne: I don't get it. What am I supposed to notice??

[May-18-2004]: The day I got my cool Energy speakers, I thought I had a pretty amazing audio setup. Still need to get a decent amp in there, and a few more speakers to fill out the room. But then I saw this setup, and decided I just need a bigger basement.

[May-16-2004]: I bet you never knew the Beatles were evil? This site deconstructs the lyrics, and points fingers. And as usual, says more about the pointer, hehe.

[May-16-2004]: Well, I may not be the biggest Gates fan, but I think this guy might be in the running for the award.

[May-13-2004]: 404'd!

[May-13-2004]: The Library of Alexandria has been discovered.

[May-12-2004]: Geeks: there is a Hitchhiker's Guide blog, right from the Disney set.

[May-12-2004]: So I tried out blogger today. Not bad results - and easy as pie.

[May-12-2004]: It's just not true.

[May-12-2004]: Want to go to the Grand Canyon?. Me too.

[May-11-2004]: Well, today brings good news for us! My son, Connor, was diagnosed with amblyopia around October. Essentially his brain had almost finished shutting off the nerves that control sight in his right eye, because he was so farsighted. The brain is so malleable at a young age, that his brain had just switched the thing off, and it apparently hard-wires around age 5.

We lucked out by gong for a routine eye exam.

If you know anyone who has a kid under 4, tell them to get the kid an eye exam.

We had no idea he was having ANY trouble at all -- his eyes tracked perfectly - no lazy eye thing at all. Anyway, we've been patching his eye aggressively - you cover up the good eye for 3 hours every day. We're further lucky to have such a calm, compliant kid, because my brother had this, and when we patched him, he basically threw a fit and cried himself to sleep. Tim says he basically cannot see out of the eye today. Connor, on the other hand....well, let me just say that his eye "turned back on", and now his prescription for that eye is only 3.75. We're still patching, but he can at least see, and it's now only 3 days per week. Prognosis is good in that he can drive legally, play sports, etc. He will most likely have to wear glasses forever (well, unless he goes Lasik), but he has stereo vision, which is a pretty cool thing when you research it, and more importantly when you DON'T have it.

Today, we picked out some cool new glasses for him. He's such a great kid, I cannot tell you. The first time I had to patch him, which essentially blinded him, because he saw almost nothing (dark - not even fuzzy), he asked me to help him type in his name on the computer because he could not see the keys. Yesterday, we played soccer in the backyard while he had his patch on. And it only took 6 months to get to this point. Cool.

Unfortunately, he still has to deal with having me for a father. But at least he'll see how terrible I am.

Joanne: So after reading the above, I did a bit of research and found this test for stereovision . Glad Connor is ok, Ted. :-)
TB: That is so cool! What an easy test!

[May-11-2004]: Trevor, this site is for you. A virtual drum kit. You can use your keyboard.
Joanne: I went there and it said that the service was unavailable. :-(

[May-11-2004]: What do you do to liven things up?

[May-11-2004]: Look up irony...

[May-11-2004]: You know you want to fluff the kitty...
Wheee!

[May-10-2004]: The path to the Iraquis' hearts and minds does not go through their electrified genitals.

[May-10-2004]: Ben is a kid with cancer, and his wish was to play a video game where you battled cancer cells. Here it is.

[May-10-2004]: A list apart has a go at art direction for the web.

[May-10-2004]: Today's funnest link (yeh), They Rule shows you all the connections of the people who sit on some of the biggest US firms. Some even surprised me, and I am pretty unflappable when it comes to corporate connivance.

[May-10-2004]: Ever wonder what was actually inside the Magic 8-Ball? Me either. But apparently the blue stuff gives 100% numbness when ingested.

[May-9-2004]: I'm thinking the foil fairy may make an appearance at CBC soon...

Y'all.

[May-6-2004]: I don't see no damn dirty apes...

[May-6-2004]: Wifi on the move.

[May-6-2004]: For some reason, Halloween costumes are on me brain.

[May-6-2004]: Someone tell me what Yatta means. Other than semi-naked guys singing and dancing and telling you how great you are. Us! Us! Us! Us!

[May-5-2004]: Expansys is taking orders for the PlayStation Portable.

[May-5-2004]: Wow - I got my own Ramones name.

[May-5-2004]: Haha! Howard Stern fans are going after Oprah and the FCC for their idiotic hypocrisy. The smoking Gun has copies of complaint letters that are almost as funny as the Stern show itself. Stern's show was bleeped from airing a tape of Oprah's show - how goofy is that? If they had aired it, they would have been fined, while Oprah herself got off with nothing. Whether you like Stern or not is not the point - the FCC, and its leader, Colin Powell's son, are operating on a religious agenda much like the White House itself right now, and it's pretty wild if you follow along.

[May-5-2004]: The boingboing guys pointed out this site listing coders' dreams.

[May-5-2004]: Start planning now for a Halloween costume.

[May-5-2004]: Oops.

[May-5-2004]: I see a lot of broken ankles coming this summer.

[May-4-2004]: Which would you rather do - a 3 hour budget meeting, or...
JR: if it ever comes to leg-waxing for me, please, my friends, it is time for an intervention. That looked too painful.

[Apr-28-2004]: I am so hooked on that "upload your desktop" site.
Check this baby out...

[Apr-28-2004]: Well, I thought this was funny...

[Apr-28-2004]: QTVR inside the Concorde:

[Apr-27-2004]: Lego tracking kids with bluetooth...very cool.

Kidspotters in LEGOLAND?!

Being a parent will be a little easier in LEGOLAND during this season, as the park is launching an electronic Kidspotter service in cooperation with the Tryg insurance company. Available for rent in the Information Office, a Kidspotter ensures that parents can always find their children whenever necessary. On entering the park, the wristband is placed on the child's arm. If parents lose sight of their child, they can send an SMS message to the Kidspotter system during their entire visit. They will then automatically receive a return message stating the name of the park area and the map coordinate of their child's position in the park. On their special Kidspotter map of the park, parents can easily see where to find their child. The Kidspotter kit consists of a small wristband with a tiny sender, plus a special Kidspotter map of the park.

[Apr-27-2004]: Johnny's algorithm homework, looks like my last budget submission.

[Apr-26-2004]: Star Wars kid vs. Kill Bill

[Apr-26-2004]: Tarantino was a video store guy. Apparently, he watched a lot of flicks. That's a list of all the references in Kill Bill.

[Apr-26-2004]: Kraftwrek. Boom.

[Apr-24-2004]: Dig this crazy SNES/Matrix swf.

[Apr-21-2004]: Always believe what you read on the internet.

[Apr-21-2004]: Hey, I bought a keyboard today so Connor & I can goof around with GarageBand. Nothing fancy, but it's wicked fun. Now all I need is some talent.

TrevorRoss : Good choice Ted. All those knobs and sliders can be assigned to control all sorts of parameters in your soft synths and mixers and stuff. And let me tell you, fiddling with those while you're playing the keys can be wicked fun! FIDDLE WITH YOUR KNOBS MAN!

[Apr-21-2004]: I know a little German...there she is over there...

[Apr-19-2004]: Ever wonder what squirrels having sex looks like? Me either - but I bet some of you click. Actually, the guy's commentary is worth it. Not that I went to the site. But Arthur did.

[Apr-19-2004]: Throw it all away, and escape...

[Apr-19-2004]: Ever wanted to know what it would be like to hang out with Quentin for a few hours?

TrevorRoss - Great story. I hope it's true.

[Apr-19-2004]: I'm thinkin' of a style change. And Orange - don't bother with the "no style to start with" crap.

[Apr-19-2004]: Today is my father's birthday. I hope I remember to call him, because I just finished Sopranos Season 1 and that Livia woman reminds me of him...
In other news:

[Apr-15-2004]: Haha! Check out how this Ghostrider dude taunts the cops from his superbike. Very funny. Someone is either going to die, or have a hefty fine.
Check the trailers too.

[Apr-15-2004]: My father sold our family boat that we've had since 1983. He bought one with a lot more power, though it's still gonna be a bumpy ride on Lake Simcoe. Still - now I can waterski again without being dragged for half the ride underwater! You're all invited for a big summer bbq, eh?

[Apr-15-2004]: Most disturbing: Elisabeth and President Lincoln's Beard.

[Apr-15-2004]: Very interesting applet simulating an ant farm.

[Apr-14-2004]: I have rented Season One of the Sopranos. Goodbye.

[Apr-14-2004]: Arbitron is apparently working on a portable people meter, which can track every bit of broadcast media you consume during any given day. And they seem to be adding GPS ability. Beyond the weirdness of this intrusion, it might actually give people making content a REAL understanding of what people are doing with their time. Which will no doubt be severely depressing!

[Apr-14-2004]: I was too old for Underoos. But I'm sure my brother had a pair of these:

[Apr-14-2004]: OK, so I have been goofing around with Garage Band a little. With some good speakers, it's a blast. And there are some wicked free loops out there. DJ-T-Money

[Apr-13-2004]: Wonder if this works?

[Apr-13-2004]: My life is approaching completion! New product that might just end my search for the completely useless thing I need most.

[Apr-13-2004]: If you see me doing 180 on the 407, this is why...

[Apr-13-2004]: Fun little edit of Georgie's State of the Union.

[Apr-13-2004]: Well, I finally see a decent use for camera cell phones. University of Cambridge has developed some software that recognizes buildings, and maps to a database. So if you ever get lost, you shoot a local building, and it will tell you where you are. Killer.

[Apr-12-2004]: Desktop project has people uploading screens of what's on their desktops. Very interesting social experiment, and as usual it seems that they are censoring those saucy Dutch.

[Apr-12-2004]: Nice pic of Paige, now 7 weeks and almost healthy. She had a nasty bout of RSV. My favourite part is where it talks about "significant morbidity". Thanks.

[Apr-12-2004]: So, funny thing - Home Depot is running a contest for the best decorated hockey fan's bedroom, or something. Do you think my kid will win?

[Apr-12-2004]: At this particular juncture, I think it appropos to exhort a lusty "GO LEAFS GO."

Thank you.

[Apr-12-2004]: I always suspected that Strongbad went commando.

[Apr-12-2004]: There is no greater power feeling than being able to command a chicken. It's like being in management.

Egg to the double G.
Whip it good!

[Apr-11-2004]: Place yer bets......

[Apr-9-2004]: So, the rumour going around, and yes, rumours should be accepted for what they are, is that this blog is actually George Clooney's.

[Apr-9-2004]: Wow. I am just....well....impressed. That is all.

[Apr-8-2004]: It's official: the film industry has now run completely out of ideas. Close the doors. Turn off the lights. Let's just surf the web.

[Apr-8-2004]: Man - I should have gone here to name our child. Wicked list if you want Tibetan names, or Chinese emperors, etc. For yourdog, of course.

[Apr-6-2004]: There has to be an easier way to get a free Playstation...

[Apr-6-2004]: Holy crap - if this is true, it's pretty awesome. Reason magazine is going to customize its next issue with a picture of your home via satellite. Shows you what little privacy people really have these days.

[Apr-5-2004]: Can't wait to see Coffee & Cigarettes.

[Apr-5-2004]: I dig this - drawn in 60 seconds.

[Apr-5-2004]: OK, you think I watched too much tv? YOU WERE RIGHT. My favourite memories were either being home sick or on Christmas break, because I got to watch all the stupid morning game shows. And I tell ya, they don't make 'em like this anymore:
Joker's Wild! Joker....joker.....JOKER!
Press Your Luck - No Whammies!
Tic Tac Dough - I recall some cop topping 100,000, the first ever.
Match Game - the BEST. Gene Rayburn was the missing link, and Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett Somers were at each others' throats. This in a time when Rob & Laura Petrie had to sleep in separate beds, dude.

I'm still hunting for a game where people used to do dumb things with Bob Barker. Damn, what was the name? Truth or Consequences! He hosted this for 18 years before taking over The Price is Right from Bill Cullen. Why do I know these things? Because my brain was all used up when I was 10.

[Apr-4-2004]: Anyone still wondering if the Bush admin is a bunch o' liars?

[Apr-4-2004]: Jackass, wok-style.

[Apr-3-2004]: I'm trying to figure out if this is real or not...
